The Process
Simple steps.
Real change.
We've designed every step to be clear, low-stress, and focused on one thing — giving you the tools to help your child thrive at home.
Step by Step
Here's exactly what happens
No surprises, no runaround. Every step is designed to be straightforward and focused on your family.
Free Consultation Call
No commitment required. This call is genuinely free.
You speak directly with a BCBA — not an intake coordinator. This is a real conversation about your child's behaviors, your biggest daily challenges, and what you most want to change. We'll answer your questions honestly and tell you whether we're the right fit.
- Tell us about your child's current behaviors and challenges
- Ask any questions about our approach or process
- Learn whether ABA parent training is right for your family
- Discuss insurance coverage and scheduling options
Assessment & Behavior Plan
You'll understand every goal and strategy before we begin training.
If we move forward together, your BCBA conducts a thorough assessment of your child's behaviors, strengths, and environment. This includes structured observation, parent interviews, and standardized tools. The result is a personalized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) built specifically around your child and your home.
- Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) to identify triggers and patterns
- Parent interview to understand your child's full picture
- Clear, measurable goals tied to your child's daily life
- Written Behavior Intervention Plan delivered to you
Weekly Virtual Training Sessions
Sessions happen in your home environment — the exact context where behaviors occur.
This is where the real work happens. Your BCBA meets with you via video call on a schedule tailored to your child's needs — sessions can happen several times a week when intensive support is needed, or less frequently as your confidence and skills grow. They teach you exactly how to respond to specific behaviors, practice strategies with you, review what's working, and adjust what isn't.
- Live video sessions with your BCBA (not a technician or aide)
- Real-time training on specific behaviors and situations
- Review of data and progress from the previous week
- Practical strategies you can use immediately between sessions
Progress Reviews & Plan Updates
You're never left wondering if things are working.
Your BCBA regularly reviews your child's progress data, assesses whether goals are being met, and updates the behavior plan as your child grows and changes. You'll receive written progress reports and a clear picture of where things stand — and what comes next.
- Formal progress review with data-driven analysis
- Updated goals as your child reaches milestones
- Written progress reports for school, insurance, or records
- Guidance through new challenges as they arise
Common Questions
Questions we hear often
How long does it take to see results?
Most families notice meaningful changes within 4–8 weeks of consistent training. The timeline depends on the specific behaviors, how consistently strategies are applied between sessions, and your child's individual profile. Your BCBA will set realistic expectations from the start.
Do I need any special technology?
Just a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and a stable internet connection. We use a HIPAA-compliant video platform — no special software to install. If you can do a video call, you can do our sessions.
What if I can't make a session?
Life happens. We ask for 24 hours' notice when possible, and we'll reschedule at a time that works for you. Consistency matters for progress, so we work hard to keep sessions on track.
Will my insurance cover this?
Many insurance plans cover ABA therapy, including parent training. We work with a range of insurers and will verify your benefits before you commit to anything. Visit our Insurance & Pricing page for more details.
What ages do you work with?
We work with children ages 2–17. Our approach is tailored to each developmental stage — early intervention for toddlers, school-age behavior support, and adolescent training for teens.
Do I need a diagnosis to get started?
A formal autism diagnosis is typically required for insurance coverage. However, we can discuss your situation on the free consultation call — some families self-pay and don't require a prior diagnosis.
Ready to take the first step?
The free consultation is exactly that — free, no commitment, and genuinely useful. You'll leave with a clearer picture of your child's behaviors and a sense of what's possible.
